Stripes & a Perfect Small Hotel

Hi darlings,

We are having the best time of our lives here in Cape Town and I’m so grateful and happy to be able to experience this amazing city. We’ve spent one night at this beautiful hotel called The Robertson Small Hotel, which is located about 3 hours outside of Cape Town. This hotel is one of the best hotels I’ve ever been to. I seriously did not want to leave. The rooms are beautiful and the staffs are people you don’t want to say goodbye too. Oh, and let me tell you about the food. The restaurant is run by one of South Africa’s most admired chefs, Reuben Riffel. He is South Africa’s Gordon Ramsey and boy that man can cook. We had breakfast and dinner and the breakfast was by far the best Hotel breakfast I’ve ever had and the dinner was just exceptional.
As you can see, I’m having a fantastic time here. And on top of that I even got a facial at their Spa this morning before we checked out. Sometimes you need to treat yourself right? ☺

Now we are back in Cape Town for two nights before we get back to reality.

Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, Cape Town

Hello everyone!

A quick update from South Africa. On our second day here we went to Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, which is one of the worlds most beautiful gardens. Since our schedule was tight, we only spent an hour there, but Kirstenbosch is a place where you can easily spend a whole day and it’s a terrific place for a picnic. The back drop with Table Mountain is just magical and the landscape is magnificent. There are over 7000 species in cultivation, including many rare and threatened species.
The park also have sculptures big as life-sized dinosaurs which made me feel like I’m walking around in Jurassic Park, without being scared of getting eaten.

Cuba-Part 2

If you are into cars you should definitely visit Cuba. The whole country is like a big car museum. Everywhere you look, you see these beautiful old Chevrolet, Ford and Chryslers in different colors. Most of the cars are over 50 years old and it’s impressive how they still keep them running. Spare parts are hard to find and that is why Cubans use whatever materials they find to get their cars fixed. They don’t through anything away. If they don’t have the part they need, they ask a friend or a neighbor and if they can’t find exactly what they are looking for, they improvise to get the cars fixed. Isn’t that super cool! That’s what I call a great mechanic.

Fuzzy Fun

Hi everyone!

My parents are visiting, so I’m busy spending as much time with them as possible. I was showing them the Mall of the Emirates, which is the mall with the indoor ski slope. There I found these fuzzy beauties that you can find here. Love the navy color in velvet. What a catch, right!?
